Dear Parishioners of St Joseph's & St Charles,
 
Bishop Heskett's Golden Jubilee of Priesthood
Our Bishop emeritus, Bishop Ralph, will be celebrating his 50th anniversary of priestly ordination on Friday, 10th July, and there will be a Mass at St Marie's at 11.30am, followed by a reception, to which all are welcome. The Mass will also provide an opportunity to offer thanksgiving for Bishop Ralph's episcopal ministry in Hallam.
If you wish to contribute to a gift being organised by the diocese then there will be a special collection on the weekend of 4 & 5 July, to which you may wish to contribute.

A Message from Paula McGuigan
following the requiem last week of her husband, Jim McGuigan RIP
'Dear Friends of the Parish of St Joseph's Church.
I wanted to send a few words now that the days have silenced a little, and I've had a moment to catch my breath. My heart is still tender and my thoughts are still scattered, but I didn't want too much time to pass without thanking you all.
Your kindness, your presence, and the love shown by the whole congregation during my husband Jim's funeral meant more to me than I can ever fully express.
The prayers, the support, the gentle words, and even the quiet companionship.
All of it helped carry myself and our beautiful daughters Nicola and Paula-Louise, and indeed the whole family, through a day I could never have faced alone.
Please know how deeply grateful we are.
You surrounded us with warmth, dignity, and compassion, and I will always remember the prayers and comfort you gave to us all.
With heartfelt thanks.
